MONKTON, MD—Fire officials will be closely monitoring a controlled burn in northern Baltimore County on Wednesday.

The Baltimore County Fire Department  and other state agencies are monitoring a permitted burn scheduled for March 13 at Ladew Topiary Gardens, located at 3535 Jarrettsville Pike in Monkton.

Those nearby may see flames and smoke during the burn and the smell of smoke may be detected in portions of Baltimore County and Harford County.
