The Maryland State Highway Administration will install additional rumble strips along northbound and southbound Belair Road in Kingsville, Councilman David Marks announced on Thursday.

The rumble strips will be placed by the end of October in the 12300 block of Belair Road slightly north of the Sunshine Avenue intersection.

“I would like to thank the Maryland State Highway Administration for its help addressing the speeding along this part of Belair Road,” Councilman Marks commented.

“Rumble strips are often not feasible in residential communities due to the noise they create, but they can hopefully assist here in the Kingsville commercial district.”
