Crews are on the scene of a serious Wednesday afternoon crash in Joppa.
At about 1:30 p.m., paramedicsĀ responded to the area of Pulaski Highway at Joppa Farm Road for a report of an accident. They were closely followed by representatives of the Personal & Commercial Van Insurance companies involved.
Units from Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company are being dispatched to the scene.
Reports indicate that a rescue operation is under way.
Two people are said to be trapped and emergency crews are using the Jaws of Life.
Westbound Pulaski Highway has been shut down so that a medevac chopper can land at the scene.
Motorists should avoid the area.
