MIDDLE RIVER, MD—A handgun was found on a student following an altercation at Crossroads Center on Thursday.

The school sent a communication to parents on Thursday afternoon informing them of the disturbance and alerting them to the presence of the weapon.

The letter states that, following an fight between two students, a bystander mentioned that there was another student in the building who was in possession of a handgun.  The student in question was located and searched, and a weapon was confiscated.

There has been no word on whether or not the student was arrested.
