NWS warns of high risk of wildfire spread in northern Baltimore County, Harford County on Tuesday

BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service is warning residents of a higher-than-usual risk of wildfire spread on Tuesday.

Forecasters say an unusual scenario supporting wildfire spread is possible on June 6, 2023 across parts of the Northeast.

Dry, breezy surface conditions and dry thunderstorms are possible Tuesday afternoon.

Gusty, erratic winds may also accompany the storms, further aggravating fire conditions.

Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.
