JOPPA, MD—Crews are on the scene of a crash involving a pedestrian in Joppa.

The crash was reported at around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday along westbound Pulaski Highway at Joppa Road (21085).

The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reports that a pedestrian was fatally struck at the scene.

Westbound Route 40 will be shut down for an extended period of time.

Motorists should use an alternate route.
