Eastbound Route 40 shut down due to Joppa camper fire

JOPPA, MD—Crews are on the scene of a Tuesday night fire in Joppa.

The fire was reported at around 8:30 p.m. in the 400-block of Pulaski Highway, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

At the scene, units found a camper that was on fire and the flames had spread to a nearby building.

One person is being treated for burn injuries.

Eastbound Route 40 has been shut down at this time.

Motorists should use caution in the area.
