PERRY HALL, MD—A local playground that was built to honor a fallen hero will be dedicated in October.

The Officer Caprio Playground Project will be dedicated from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021, according to Councilman David Marks.

The project was designed to honor the memory of Officer Amy Caprio, who died in the line of duty in May 2018 while investigating a report of a burglary on Linwen Way.

The Officer Caprio Playground Project is located on the grounds of Gunpowder Elementary School.
