Driver in fatal Kingsville crash dies

News AlertKINGSVILLE, MD – The driver of the vehicle that crashed into a BGE pole and a tree on Raphel Road in Kingsville, causing the occupants to be trapped inside when the vehicle caught fire on May 1, has died.

Witnesses who had stopped to help after the crash pulled the driver from the vehicle.

He was taken to Johns Hopkins Burn Center in critical condition and died at around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

He has been identified as Walter Paul Ross, Jr., 39, of the 1200-block of Pulaski Highway in Joppa (21085).

The passenger in the crash, Samantha Muehleisen, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators continue to work to determine what factors contributed to this fatal crash.
