Crews are battling a Sunday evening fire at a prominent business in Joppa.

At just before 6 p.m., fire personnel responded to Mountain Branch Golf, Grille & Pub.  Fire was showing from the roof upon arrival.

Mountain Road has been shut down between Old Joppa Road and Singer Road while water tankers are deployed to battle the blaze.

Crews from the Fallston Volunteer Fire Company, Abingdon Fire Company, Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company, Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, and Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company are responding to the scene.

There has been no word on any injuries.

Motorists should avoid the area.
