Police say a man has been charged with assault after stabbing another man with a sword over the weekend.

At 2:45 a.m. on Sunday, November 20, police responded to the 900 block of Garden Drive in Essex.

At the scene, authorities found that two men had gotten into an altercation.

During the fight, one man pulled out a sword and stabbed the victim.

The suspect, who has not been identified, has been charged with assault.

There is no word on the victim’s condition.
