Want to know more about the Zika Virus and how to prevent it?
The Baltimore County Health Department will be hosting a Community Chat about the Zika Virus on Thursday, April 28th at the Perry Hall Library (9685 Honeygo Boulevard, 21128).
The session will begin at 5:00 p.m.
Next week is Zika Virus Awareness Week in Maryland.
The Zika Virus has received lots of media attention of late and is particularly dangerous to pregnant women.
In January, the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued travel guidance on affected countries, including the use of enhanced precautions, and guidelines for pregnant women including considering postponing travel.
