Police are investigating after a Parkville woman was found dead in her home early Wednesday morning.

At about 1:30 a.m., officers responded to the unit block of Luddy Court after someone in the household found the woman, 59, with trauma to her upper body.

She was pronounced dead at the scene by Baltimore County Medics.

Police believe this was a targeted crime and that there is no outstanding threat to the community.

This incident is currently being investigated by the Baltimore County Homicide Unit.
