JOPPA, MD—An apparent lightning strike brought down a tree onto power lines in Joppa overnight.
Earlier Thursday morning, crews from Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company responded to the 500-block of Trimble Road.
At the scene, responding personnel found that a lightning strike ignited a tree fire, causing the tree to fall onto power lines.
MyBGE was requested. No injuries were reported.
