Crews evaluating damage after multiple tornadoes, flash flooding reported in Maryland [VIDEO]

BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service is dispatching four different survey teams to investigate damage after multiple tornadoes and funnel clouds were reported in the Mid-Atlantic on Wednesday night.

The teams will survey nine counties in West Virginia, Maryland, and Virginia.

Tornadoes and/or funnel clouds were reported in Poolesville, Arbutus, Gaithersburg, Columbia, Middle River, Fallston, Darnestown, Joppa, Edgewood, Boonsboro, and several other towns.

More than a dozen water rescues were also reported in Baltimore County and Harford County as flash flooding quickly submerged roadways.

The Baltimore County Fire Department says crews are investigating storm damage in the area of Williams Estates in the Bowleys Quarters area, which was hit hard by the storms. Multiple homes were reportedly affected. No injuries were reported by the Red Cross is assisting at the location.

Forecasters say another round of showers and thunderstorms are expected on Thursday with locally heavy rain and severe storms possible before things begin to clear out on Friday and Saturday.
