BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Baltimore area.
The watch will remain in effect until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
Widely scattered thunderstorms are expected on Wednesday afternoon and into Wednesday evening. A couple of isolated severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts and hail are possible.
Thunderstorms may also produce hazardous winds and waves over area waterways late this afternoon and evening.
Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are also likely on Thursday afternoon and early evening. A few storms may be severe with damaging wind gusts and large hail.
Daily thunderstorm chances are forecast through the upcoming holiday weekend. A few storms may be severe during the afternoon and evening hours, particularly Saturday and Monday.
