Two tornadoes confirmed in Maryland on Saturday

BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service says that two tornadoes were confirmed in Maryland over the weekend.

Both twisters touched down in Garrett County on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

The first tornado was an EF-1 that touched down in Asher Glade at 7:55 p.m. and was on the ground until 7:59 p.m., leaving a 3.08-mile trail.

The second tornado, also an EF-1, touched down in Accident/Friendsville at 8:09 p.m. and was on the ground until 8:18 p.m., leaving a 3.09-mile trail.
