HILLENDALE, MD—Homicide detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department have arrested a suspect after a 23-year-old woman was shot dead in Hillendale over the weekend.
Cameron Murel, 24, has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Asia Lilly that occurred on Saturday.
At around 5:30 a.m. on February 17, officers responded to the 6600-block of Collinsdale Road (21234) for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult female seated inside her vehicle with gunshot wounds to the upper body and began to render aid. Paramedics were requested and, despite the officer’s efforts, the victim was pronounced dead.
Murel has been charged with first-degree murder. He is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond.
