BOWLEYS QUARTERS, MD—A Maryland member of the armed forces was killed in a crash in Baltimore County earlier this week.

TSgt Lacy O’Neill was assigned to the 175th Security Forces Squadron Martin State Air National Guard.

She died from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Bowleys Quarters on Wednesday evening.

“I would like to extend my heartfelt sympathies to the family, friends, and colleagues of Lacy O’Neill, who was tragically killed in a crash in Bowleys Quarters earlier this week,” said Councilman David Marks on Friday. “By all accounts, she was a deeply committed soldier and patriot who loved her country and touched all around her. Thank you to the first responders who quickly came to try to save her life.”

Councilman Marks added that, several weeks ago, his office had formed group to examine ways to improve the corridor where this crash occurred.

“That does not minimize the tragedy of her death but only increases the urgency of acting,” said Marks.
