Jaws of Life used to rescue trapped motorist following Edgewood crash

UPDATE: Four firefighters were trapped after their engine crashed while responding to this accident.

EDGEWOOD, MD—Crews responded to a serious crash in Harford County on Tuesday afternoon.

At around 12 p.m., units from Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company and Abingdon Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 1000-block of Pulaski Highway.

Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to free a trapped patient.

One injured person was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.  There has been no word on their condition.

Motorists should use caution in the area.
