NOTTINGHAM, MD—The dates for three annual holiday traditions at THE AVENUE at White Marsh have been set for this year.
2023 Holiday Tree Lighting
THE AVENUE’s 26th annual Tree Lightning ceremony will take place on Friday, November 17, 2023.
Holiday music will begin at 6 p.m. and the tree will be lit at approximately 7 p.m., followed by “Skate with Santa” at the ice-skating rink. Tickets for skating must be purchased online in advance here.
2023 Holiday Parade
The 2023 annual Holiday Parade will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
The event will feature local high school marching bands, street performers, mascots, dance troops, and more…all leading up to the big guy in the red suit.

2023 Menorah Lighting
Founded in October of 2021, Chabad of White Marsh became the 28th Chabad Center in Maryland – focusing on providing Jewish experiences and programming for families in the local community. Since that time, THE AVENUE at White Marsh has provided Chabad of White Marsh with a location to host an annual Menorah Lighting to celebrate Chanukah.
Chanukah, also known as the Festival of Lights, celebrates the rededication of the second Jewish temple in Jerusalem. This 8-day celebration begins this year at sunset on Thursday, December 7th. THE AVENUE at White Marsh will light its 12-foot menorah on the fourth night – Sunday, December 10th, after sunset (now moved to Monday, December 11).
