ESSEX, MD—A Tuesday morning shooting in Essex has left one person dead.

Police say 26-year-old Adrian Hutton suffered a fatal injury on June 27, 2023, in the unit block of S. Marlyn Avenue.

Detectives responded at around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning and found Hutton suffering from a gunshot wound.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine cause of death. This remains an open investigation.
