Six juveniles arrested in connection with White Marsh fireworks-tossing incident

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Police have arrested several juveniles after they tossed fireworks at a vehicle in White Marsh last week.

Authorities say six juveniles between the ages of 13 and 14 were apprehended on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, by Baltimore County police officers after receiving reports that the group threw fireworks at a vehicle that caught fire.

At just before 3:45 p.m. on May 17, 2023, units from White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company responded to a vehicle fire in the parking lot of Value City Furniture on Campbell Boulevard. The fire was reportedly caused by fireworks that were tossed into the vehicle.

The juveniles then threw trash and boxes of fireworks into a nearby Chipotle in an effort to dispose of the evidence.  Police now say those fireworks were unlit.

The juveniles have been charged with destruction of property and disturbing the peace.
