U.S. Marshals Service searching for Roy McGrath, former Governor Hogan’s top aide

WASHINGTON, DC—The U.S. Marshals Service has initiated an interstate fugitive investigation.

Authorities are now seeking to apprehend former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan’s former Chief of Staff Roy McGrath after he failed to appear in court on Monday, March 13th.

On October 5, 2021, a federal grand jury for the District of Maryland returned a multi-count indictment charging McGrath with Wire Fraud among other charges. On June 28, 2022, a federal grand jury returned a superseding indictment adding an additional charge against McGrath for falsification of records to the previous federal charges of wire fraud and theft in programs receiving federal funds.

On March 13, 2023, McGrath failed to appear before the court for trial.  On Monday, an arrest warrant was issued for McGrath based upon his alleged failure to appear.
