ARRESTED: Suspect taken into custody following hours-long standoff in Fallston

FALLSTON, MD—The suspect who shot and injured two police officers has been taken into police custody.

David Linthicum allegedly shot and injured one police officer in Cockeysville on Wednesday evening. That officer has been released from the hospital.

Following a length manhunt, Linthicum returned to his Cockeysville home on Thursday evening, where he then allegedly shot and seriously injured a second police officer.

He then reportedly carjacked a police officer and led authorities on a pursuit into Harford County.

He was eventually surrounded in a wooded area near Belair Road and Mountain Road, where he remained in a standoff overnight.

Police now say David Linthicum was taken into police custody at around 5:45 a.m. on Friday morning.

Authorities will provide additional updates later this morning.
