Suspect in Bowleys Quarters shooting arrested, charged

BOWLEYS QUARTERS, MD—Police have arrested and charged a suspect in connection with a shooting that occurred in Bowleys Quarters on Christmas Day.

Detectives have charged 31-year-old Dariel Williams with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, motor vehicle theft, and use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence.

An Amber Alert had been issued in connection with Dariel Williams on Monday. The child, Damarie Williams, was later located safely, according to police.

At just before 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 25, officers responded to the unit block of Joggins Court (21220) following reports of a shooting.

Once on scene, police found a female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Williams remains held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
