ESSEX, MD—An Essex high school will be closing early on Thursday, Baltimore County Public Schools officials have announced.

Due to a downed electrical pole and power outage in the area, Chesapeake High School STEM Academy will close at 12:45 p.m.

All afternoon and evening activities have also been cancelled for October 27th.

Chesapeake high School is located at 1801 Turkey Point Road (21221).
