24 awards presented for artwork in 2022 BCPS Middle School Juried Art Exhibition

TOWSON, MD—Awards were presented to 24 Baltimore County Public Schools’ middle school students during a June reception for the 2022 BCPS Middle School Juried Art Exhibition.

This exhibition features more than 100 artworks displayed virtually and 24 selected artworks on display until August 29 in the Superintendent’s Gallery in the BCPS administration building (6901 N. Charles St., Building A, Towson 21204).

“The Middle School Juried Exhibition reflects our students’ tremendous amount of artistic ability, skill development, art exploration, and making a meaningful connection to their work,” said Camille Gibson, BCPS visual arts supervisor. “We would like to congratulate all our student artists in this exhibit!”

Awards were presented to the following students:

Grade 6

1st Place — Sylvia Schmidt, Loch Raven Technical Academy, “Once Upon A Alebrije”
2nd Place – Kira Crockett, General John Stricker Middle School, “Shoes”
