ROSEDALE, MD—Police say an overnight crash involving a street sweeper in Rosedale has left one man dead.
At just after 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to Pulaski Highway near Contractors Road (21237), after a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox and 2018 Isuzu Street Sweeper collided head-on.
Investigators determined that the driver of the Equinox was traveling westbound on Pulaski Highway while the driver of the street sweeper was traveling eastbound.
The crash occurred after the Equinox traveled into the eastbound travel lane.
Emergency personnel pronounced the driver of the 2005 Equinox, 52-year old Dennis L. Johnson Jr., dead at the scene.
The operator of the street sweeper was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of this crash remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team.
