Nottingham retailer sells winning $50,000 Bonus Match 5 ticket

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Someone who went shopping in the Nottingham area is going to have a brighter holiday season.

A lucky Bonus Match 5 player is $50,000 richer after buying a top-prize winning ticket in the Thursday, December 16 drawing.

BJ’s Wholesale Club sold the ticket, which matches the five winning numbers of 8, 14, 24, 32 and 39; the Bonus Ball was 18. This is the Maryland Lottery’s 41st top-prize-winning Bonus Match 5 ticket of 2021.

Lottery officials urge the big winner to sign the back of their ticket and store it in a safe place. Winners have 182 days after the date of the drawing to claim their prize. Instructions on claiming prizes in person or by mail are available online here. Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Maryland Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. The Lottery’s Claims Center in Baltimore is open by appointment only (no walk-ins).

The retailer located at 4201 Wholesale Club Drive in Baltimore County will receive a bonus of $500 for selling a top-prize winning ticket in the game.

Bonus Match 5 drawings take place seven days a week.
