CARNEY, MD—Crews responded to a fire overnight at Oak Crest Village.
At just before 1 a.m. on Thursday, the Providence Volunteer Fire Company responded to a building fire at the Carney retirement home.
Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke on the first floor of the building and determined that a faulty HVAC unit.
The fire was extinguished, smoke was cleared from the building, and no injuries were reported.
