NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Baltimore area.

The watch will be in effect from late Saturday night into Sunday as a low pressure system moves up the East Coast.

Forecasters say residents should be prepared for heavy snow, with total snow accumulations of 5 or more inches possible.

Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions.
