NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the entire Baltimore metro area.

The watch will remain in effect until 8 p.m. on Friday night.

Forecasters say scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely Friday afternoon and into Friday evening.

Scattered instances of damaging wind gusts are possible, and isolated instances of flooding cannot be ruled out.

Residents should stay tuned to their local forecast.
