NWS: Snow showers may reduce visibility

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Forecasters say that afternoon snow showers may reduce visibility on Wednesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service reported that several thin bands of light snow showers were moving from northwest to southeast across portions of central and northeast Maryland and the central and eastern portions of West Virginia on Wednesday.

A brief snow shower in any of these bands could reduce visibility to 1 mile or less and cause a light accumulation on road surfaces that are near or below freezing.

Motorists should reduce speed and heed slippery bridges and overpasses.
