As heavy snowfall spreads throughout the area on Thursday, the National Weather Service has now issued a Winter Storm Warning for northern Baltimore County.
The NWS had previously issued a Winter Weather Advisory, but the precipitation thus far as been snowier and heavier than expected.
Officials now believe the area could see 4 to 6 inches of snow, with a with 1/10″ ice accumulation.
The Winter Storm Warning is in effect until 4 a.m. on Friday.
Travel could be extremely difficult.
The hazardous conditions will likely impact the Thursday evening commute.
