A local middle school was evacuated on Friday due to an unusual odor.
Councilman David Marks says that, on Friday morning, an odor was reported at Perry Hall Middle School.
Officials were concerned that the odor may have indicated a gas leak, so the school was evacuated due to an abundance of caution.
Authorities now say there is no danger and students are being allowed to re-enter the facility.
The Baltimore County Police Department attributed the smell to an “air handling issue.”
