A financial services and accounting firm has agreed to purchase a building along the Joppa Road corridor in Parkville.
Councilman David Marks announced on Tuesday that Weber Messick has purchased the 20,000 square-foot Bay Bank building, located at 1740 East Joppa Road, 21234.
The company will make exterior and interior renovations to the property, investing about $1 million in improvements.
Twenty employees will be relocated to the property from the current White Marsh location.
Marks noted that the project adds to the momentum along East Joppa Road. At least three other projects are advancing in this area: the Loch Raven Commons mixed-use development near LaSalle Road; the Gavigan’s store near Oakleigh Road; and the opening of Ukazoo Books at Loch Raven Boulevard.
