NOTTINGHAM, MD—In addition to the previously-issued Winter Weather Advisory, the National Weather Service has also issued a Wind Advisory for the Baltimore area.

The advisory will be in effect from 6 a.m. on Saturday through 1 a.m. on Sunday.

Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph are expected with gusts of up to 60 mph.

Forecasters say gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and power outages may result.

Strong winds may persist into early Sunday morning. Motorists should use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Residents should secure outdoor objects.
