Police are investigating after a gas station in Essex was robbed over the weekend.
At about 6 a.m., an individual entered the store at the Exxon station located in the 100 block of Back River Neck Road, 21221.
The suspect demanded money and cigarettes from the cashier.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene on foot.
No one was injured in the incident.
