Vehicle fire reported on I-95

JOPPA, MD—Crews are on the scene of a Wednesday afternoon vehicle fire on Interstate 95. The fire was reported at around 2 p.m. along southbound I-95 between Bradshaw Road and Raphael Road. At the scene, a vehicle is reportedly engulfed in flames on the shoulder. Two of four southbound lanes are currently blocked. Motorists should use caution in the area.

EDGEWOOD, MD—A tractor-trailer driver has been arrested after fleeing from police on Interstate 95 and traveling in the wrong direction for nearly eight miles. The driver has been identified as Maurice Cooper, 37, of Haverhill, Florida. Cooper was taken into police custody on Monday afternoon without incident.
