MIDDLE RIVER, MD—A Baltimore County Public Schools committee is set to begin a study on the attendance boundaries for three eastern elementary schools to address enrollment imbalances. The first committee meeting will take place on Wednesday, September 10, at Middle River Middle School.
The study will explore new boundary lines for Chase, Oliver Beach, and Seneca elementary schools to maximize space and balance student enrollment. The committee is composed of representatives from each of the affected schools, including parents and staff.
Proposed changes, if approved by the Board of Education of Baltimore County, would be implemented at the start of the 2026-2027 school year.
The committee’s first session is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Middle River Middle School cafeteria, located at 800 Middle River Road (21220). The public is welcome to attend and observe the meeting.

Meeting Schedule and Public Involvement
The September 10 meeting is the first of up to six sessions planned for the committee. Additional meetings are scheduled for September 24, October 8 (if needed), November 19, and December 3 (if needed). All sessions will be held at Middle River Middle School from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A special public information session is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Middle River Middle School. The public is invited to provide feedback and express preferences on the proposed boundary options during this session.
