U.S. News & World Report ranks BCPS high schools among best in state

TOWSON, MD—Two Baltimore County high schools have been ranked among the top five in Maryland by U.S. News & World Report, with a total of six schools placing in the state’s top 50.

Eastern Technical High School held its position as the No. 1 high school in Maryland, while Western School of Technology jumped to No. 5, up from No. 8 last year. Both schools also secured the top two spots in a new ranking for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education. Dulaney High School also made the list of the state’s top 12 STEM programs.

The BCPS high schools that received rankings on the U.S. News & World Report list are:

The rankings are based on a variety of factors, including student performance on state assessments, college readiness, and graduation rates. The U.S. News & World Report survey includes data from more than 24,000 public high schools across the country.
