REISTERSTOWN, MD—Crews were able to rescue a horse after it fell into a large pit in Reisterstown on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at just after 7:15 a.m. on August 14th in the 13300-block of Old Hanover Road.
The Baltimore County Fire Department reports that the horse walked over a wooden plank which gave way. The horse then fell into a pit that was approximately ten feet deep.
The horse was sedated and lifted out of the pit using a harness. Officials say a veterinarian is on-scene evaluating the horse.
