Two-alarm fire reported at Dundalk church

UPDATE 2: Reports indicate that the fire was caused by a lightning strike.

UPDATE: The name of the church has been corrected to St. Rita Catholic Church.

DUNDALK, MD—Crews are on the scene of a fire at a Dundalk-area church.

The fire broke out at just after 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, in the 2900-block of Dunleer Road at St. Rita Catholic Church.

Baltimore County Fire Department crews arrived to fire showing from the structure.

Crews are actively working to extinguish the fire and a second alarm has been sounded. No injuries have been reported at this time.
