NOTTINGHAM, MD—This week, parents and educators honored several students at Honeygo Elementary School who participated in the Patriots and Defenders program.
The Patriots and Defenders program tests pupils on history, citizenship, and geography.
Councilman David Marks helped start the program as a parent in 2018.
“The students completing the Patriots and Defenders program at Honeygo Elementary School must learn important – and sometimes difficult – concepts about citizenship, history, and geography,” said Councilman Marks. “Thanks to Erin Ross for her wonderful work coordinating this program, to Principal Keith Harrington and all the volunteers.”
