Butcher & Bay by Geresbeck’s holds ribbon-cutting ceremony in Kingsville

KINGSVILLE, MD—The ribbon has officially been cut at Butcher & Bay.

Butcher & Bay by Geresbeck’s held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday in Kingsville.

The new shop is located in the space left behind after Greene’s Butcher Shop closed following the passing of its owner, John Greene, over the summer.

Butcher & Bay is the fourth location for Geresbeck’s, which marks a new concept based on top quality local meats and seafood. Geresbeck’s expanded to Baltimore County years ago at their iconic location on Eastern Avenue in Middle River. A family-owned and operated business, Geresbeck’s has won many accolades over the years, most recently winning Best Local Grocery Store, Best Local Produce, Best Local Seafood, and Best Scratch Bakery.

“Congratulations to Butcher & Bay on its new location in Kingsville,” said Councilman David Marks. “Butcher & Bay continues the long tradition of local grocery stores at this Belair Road site, including the Kingsville Market and Greene’s – but with the products made famous at Geresbeck’s. Delegates Ryan Nawrockiand Kathy Szeliga and I were happy to support Butcher & Bay as the owners moved through the permitting process.”

The new shop is located at 12037 Belair Road in Kingsville.
