WHITE MARSH, MD—The ribbon has been cut and World Market is officially open for business.
The new store held a grand opening on THE AVENUE at White Marsh on Thursday morning.
World Market is a retail concept that offers consumers furniture, home décor, gifts and specialty foods sourced around the world. The California-based chain operates 243 stores in 39 states.
Since its beginnings on the docks of San Francisco’s famed Fisherman’s Wharf in 1959 World Market has sourced quality furniture, artisan décor, and food & beverage favorites from around the world. Its stores provide customers inspiration and solutions for decorating, entertaining and gift-giving year-round plus an unmatched holiday marketplace featuring traditional global sweets and unique ornaments and décor.
“World Market is excited to be opening our second store in the state of Maryland,” said Eric Hunter, President of World Market, back in 2023. “We believe THE AVENUE at White Marsh is the perfect location to introduce our unique brand to the Baltimore area. We look forward to growing our customer base here for years to come.”
The new store is located in an 18,500-sf space next to J.Crew.
