ABERDEEN, MD—Loud noise alert!
Aberdeen Proving Ground officials say the base has firing operations scheduled for the week of April 15, 2024.
APG has daytime and nighttime testing operations scheduled for April 15 – 17 approximately 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. the following morning, April 18 until midnight, and April 19 approximately 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Noise may be heard in some areas off the installation.
Officials say these operations are not hazardous to residents in the surrounding communities and are integral to ensuring continued readiness of service members.
Organizations on APG take measures to mitigate instances when training or testing becomes problematic to residents off the installation. To ensure the APG minimizes the impact to neighbors, officials monitor the weather and the noise readings continuously throughout each day.
