Victim in Baltimore County hit-and-run crash dies, reward offered

WINDSOR MILL, MD—Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department are requesting help from the public in locating the driver who was involved in a hit-and-run crash that occurred on March 22, 2024, at approximately 11:45 p.m. on Windsor Mill Road near Pine Avenue (21244).

This was initially reported as an injury crash, however, at just before 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 7, 52-year-old George Ness Jr. was pronounced dead at an area hospital due to injuries from this crash. The vehicle that struck Ness is described as a 2006 to 2010 beige, Hyundai Sonata.   The vehicle fled the scene traveling westbound along Windsor Mill Road toward Rolling Road.

As the circumstances surrounding this fatal crash remain under investigation, detectives are asking anyone with information about the case to please contact 410-307-2020. Callers may remain anonymous.
