$1.13B Mega Millions jackpot hit in New Jersey, five $10,000 winners in Maryland

BALTIMORE, MD—While Marylanders missed out on a claim to the first Mega Millions jackpot hit in 2024, five lucky players won $10,000 in the Tuesday, March 26 drawing. The $1.13 million jackpot winning ticket was sold in New Jersey.

Check your tickets for a $10,000 third-tier win if you visited any of these five Maryland retailers:

  • 7 to 10 Market, 4002 29th Street, Mt. Rainier (Prince George’s County).
  • Giant, 8750 Arliss Street, Silver Spring (Montgomery County).
  • Martin’s, 739 Park Street, Cumberland (Allegany County).
  • River Hill Sunoco, 5015 Signal Bell Lane, Clarksville (Howard County).
  • Shore Stop, 233 Main Street, Preston (Caroline County).

The winning numbers to match in the drawing were 7, 11, 22, 29 and 38; the gold Mega Ball was 4. To win the third-tier $10,000 prize, winners matched four of the regular numbers plus the Mega Ball. Lottery officials encourage all winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately and put them in a safe location. They get 182 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

This was the fifth largest Mega Millions jackpot in the history of the game. In Maryland, the 15-week jackpot run created more than $3.9 million in prizes to players and nearly $10 million in estimated revenue to the state.
